The Heart Care Foundation of India (HCFI), a leading national non-profit organization committed to making India a healthier and disease-free nation, is organizing the first-ever DIGITAL COVID-19 PERFECT HEALTH MELA (PHM) 2020. This one-of-its-kind event held every with support from other patrons to generate all-around awareness on health is going digital this year in view of the pandemic. The event will be held from 31st May 2020 till 7th June 2020.
The inaugural of HCFI’s flagship event will be attended by some prominent names such as Shri Ashok Chakradhar, Indian author, poet, Padma Shri Awardee; Shri Rajendra Prasanna, Indian classical flautist and shehnai player; Singer and Performer Ms Shibani Kashyap; Dr Anjali Chhabria, psychiatrist and psychotherapist; eminent Kathak dancer Padma Bhushan Ms Uma Sharma and Padma Shri Shovana Narayan; nutritionist Dr Shikha Sharma; Mrs. Rekha gupta, Poet; and actor Inder Pal Singh.
Visitors can look forward to various e-stalls and other events in the e-Mela. Some events include interschool competitions, Medico Masti, Divya Jyoti, etc. which see participation by numerous school and college students every year. The event can be attended by anyone in any part of the world, making this the first time that a Mela of this scale is being organized online. The main attraction will be an interaction with patient warriors who have recovered from Coronavirus.
Speaking about this, Padma Shri Awardee, Dr K K Aggarwal, President, HCFI and CMAAO, said, “We are proud to present the Perfect Health Mela (PHM), our annual event, in a digital avatar this year in view of the Covid-19 pandemic. The HCFI has always endeavored to direct all its initiatives at educating the masses and raising awareness on pertinent health-related aspects. This is a phase of virtual living for all of us and we are using infotainment as a way to address concerns and queries around Covid-19. We will also talk about how the society can prepare to tackle such challenges in the future. This is a global crisis and each one of us must play a part in whatever way possible. Our theme this year is ‘Living with Corona 1.0’ and we aim to spread positive messages through various competitions and e-stalls.”
Dr Anil Kumar, Ex-Director Environment Dept. Started in 1993, the Perfect Health Mela caters to people from all age groups and all walks of life. It showcases activities across categories such as health education seminars, check-ups, entertainment programmes, lifestyle exhibitions, lectures, workshops, and competitions. Over 200 organizations attend the event each year including state and central government entities, PSUs, and leading corporates. It is supported by over 32 leading brands such as personal and fabric hygiene brand Fena, restaurant chain Imperfecto, Ansal University, Coca Cola, among others.
