Chandigarh, January 26, 2021:

The Republic Day celebrations at Apollo Hospitals, was very special and momentous this year with the Frontline Health Workers who stood firmly against all odds in the service of humanity and bravely combatted the unprecedented COVID 19 challenges, hoisting the tricolour. The team comprised of representatives of Doctors, Nurses, House Keeping staff, Physiotherapists, Dieticians, Ambulance drivers, Lab technicians and Administrative staff. They hoisted the flag on behalf of all those silent workers who went about with the call of duty despite the enormous risks to themselves and their families and relentlessly and selflessly served the patients in their hour of despair.

As a tradition at Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad, the honour of hoisting the tricolour is reserved for senior Doctors. This year we deviated and presented the honour to Frontline healthcare workers. This is our way of paying tribute to these and the multitude of other brave souls across the length and breadth of the country who spent last year in the service of COVID 19 patients, says Y Subramaniam, CEO, Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad.
