Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh visits special vaccination camp organized by Department of Pensions at CSOI, Chanakyapuri

The Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare carried out their second, in a series, vaccination camp to protect their staff and officers from the Corona virus. During this camp officers, staff and their family members from 18 to 44 years of age were administered the Covishield vaccine.

The Department in order to ensure safety of the staff and officers undertook this task and included the family members as well, in order to make the protection drive of the employees more effective. Dr Jitendra Singh, MoS(PP) graced the occasion in the presence of Secretary Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare and other officers and staff of the Department.

About 150 people were vaccinated during this drive which was organised in the CSOI premises of the Ministry of Personnel, PG & Pensions. The camp was organised in open air sprawling lawns in order to reduce the chances of infection and also maintain proper social distancing. The first camp which was held earlier this month had covered the officers, staff & their families in the age group 45 plus.
