Kejriwal Government is revamping Maulana Azad Medical College Hostel

New Delhi, September 02, 2021:

PWD Minister Shri Satyendar Jain convened a meeting with the officials of PWD and architects to discuss the plan of remodelling the Maulana Azad Medical College hostel. A new hostel building will be constructed for the Undergraduate and Post-Graduate medical students. Shri Satyendar Jain said that the new hostel building of Maulana Azad Medical College will be equipped with advanced facilities. The new hostel building will enhance the capacity of the existing 438 beds to about 1000 beds within the same budget. To this, he added that a cost- and design-efficient hostel building will be made.

In the meeting, Shri Satyendar Jain directed the officials to focus on design while making a cost-efficient structure. The aim is to build a cost-efficient structure that can accommodate more students.
He said, “A cost-efficient building should be made, taking design efficiency into account so that more students can be accommodated in the hostel. We aim to bring down the cost of building and at the same time not compromise with the strength and design of the structure. The officials should look for innovative ways to achieve this aim.”

Delhi Government is making a new hostel for Maulana Azad Medical College students. This new building will take the existing capacity of the hostel from 438 beds to 1000 beds within the same budget. This will come as a big relief to the college authorities as well as budding doctors who will get new and improved facilities.

Shri Satyendar Jain also announced the same on Twitter. He said, “Delhi Government is revamping Maulana Azad Medical College Hostel with advanced facilities using modern technologies. Convened a meeting with PWD officials & architects for the same & instructed the officials to increase the design efficiency & number of rooms in the hostel.”
