  • “These made-in-India connected beds with integrated continuous vitals monitoring vastly improve patient safety, care efficiency and clinical outcomes
  • The intelligent connected bed is one of the most significant breakthroughs in India’s journey to create a world-class connected healthcare system to deliver quality healthcare to a billion Indians.”
New Delhi, August 23, 2022:

Dozee, India’s first contactless Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) company, and Midmark India, the largest manufacturer of hospital beds and allied furniture in South Asia with a deep presence in the country, have come together to create India’s first connected bed platform to automate and integrate patient monitoring in hospital beds, primarily for non-ICU environments. These specially engineered intelligent connected beds would enable hospitals to seamlessly provide continuous patient monitoring in HDU, Step-down ICU and any other non-ICU ward, thereby delivering next level of patient safety, improved clinical outcomes, driving operational efficiencies and digital transformation.

Studies show that continuous monitoring in non-ICU environments have clear impact in providing improved critical care and timely medical intervention to the patient. This new generation technology is the outcome of embedding state-of-the-art contactless sensors and AI-powered algorithms from Dozee coupled with Midmark’s hospital bed platforms complying to global quality standards.

A patient in a hospital spends a major amount of time on a hospital bed, so designing a hospital bed that can precisely integrate the next generation custom sensors coupled with cloud-enabled AI-powered algorithms, is the most efficient and effective method to automate and digitalize patient monitoring. Midmark’s superior design thinking with Dozee’s patented contactless sensors powered with cloud-enabled AI and Early Warning System (EWS) will be the bedrock for powering next-generation connected hospitals in India.

This intelligent connected bed can monitor vital parameters such as heart rate, respiration rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, ECG, and temperature. It also offers an Early Warning System (EWS) that provides alerts to the concerned health care providers for timely intervention. Such critical information can help healthcare professionals make data-backed, swift clinical decisions. Further, these connected beds are integrated into central command centers and the hospital’s Health Management Information System (HMIS).

The benefits of connected hospital beds that seamlessly integrate with the entire hospital ecosystem are manifold. Connected beds make patient movements within the hospital highly efficient as the patient monitoring sensors are embedded directly in the bed.

Mudit Dandwate, CEO & Co-founder, Dozee said, “By integrating our technology with Midmark’s hospital bed portfolio, we have created a next-generation connected bed that enables hospitals have a seamless plug-and-play experience, hence offering a premium world-class experience to its patients. With this, we will definitely see a marked change in the way quality healthcare is delivered, putting India on the global connected health map.”

Sumeet Aggarwal, Managing Director, Midmark India said “Better care happens by design; design that considers its purpose. Midmark India has been deep-rooted in India for over seven decades and understands the healthcare delivery issues well. We are committed to address these issues and lead the best healthcare experience for all. Development of the Intelligent Bed platforms in collaboration with Dozee is an outcome of this commitment. We strongly believe that connected care is the future that will not only improve access and efficiency but also impact the outcomes. We are excited to be part of the digital transformation.”

Dozee recently received the ISO 13485:2016 certification in December 2021 from Intertek for its Quality Management System (QMS). This certification is a part of the quality journey with ISO/IEC 27001:2013, Information Security Management.
