Multi Speciality Hospital pioneers in Breast Cancer treatment for elderly, operates 75-year-old successfully

Gurugram based Medharbour Multi Speciality hospital cum residential wellness centre successfully treated a 75-year-old elderly patient who suffered from Breast Cancer. With state-of-the-art infrastructure, along with world class medical care, the Oncology department has saved the lives of XX patients till date. In partnership with ‘Art of Healing Cancer’ the cancer patients receive a holistic treatment for cancer that helps the patients to recover faster.

When detected early, and treated in time, it is possible to beat cancer.”

The PET CT scan performed on the patient earlier had confirmed the cancer and also ensured that it was limited to the breast. This led to quick thinking and swift action by the treating doctor. Dr Mandeep Singh Malhotra, a renowned Surgical Oncologist led a team of XX doctors and ensured that only the best decisions in the well-being of the patient were taken. He explained, “At the age of 75 years, she was already too fragile to let the cancer spread. However, we took the decision to perform the surgery at the earliest. She underwent state of the art Oncoplastic Breast Preservation surgery along with Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy. The procedure was uneventful and patient recovered swiftly. The post-surgery biopsy report suggests Hormone Receptor Positive Breast Cancer which can be controlled with hormone therapy.”
