Himachal Pradesh Governor stresses on adopting healthy life style

Chandigarh, October 06, 2018 :

While inaugurating 28th Annual Conference of the Indian Association of the Surgical Gastroenterology organized by Division of surgical gastroenterology department of surgery, PGIMER, Chandigarh on Thursday, 4th October,2018  evening, Governor Acharya Devvrat stressed on adopting healthy life style and following the system of nature.

He said that doctors have many duties toward their patients. Their responsibilities cover their own actions, as well as orders they give to their assistants which was the great services to the humanity. With their sincerity, dedication and affinity, they had been given the status of God. He urged them to work with more dedication and sensibly towards the suffering humanity.

The Governor said that such conferences provide unique opportunity for the delegates to churn out the essence of medical science.

He said that PGIMER, Chandigarh was a premier institute of the country and had a history of excellence in patients care, education and research. He said that large number of critical patients from Himachal, Punjab, Haryana and other adjoining states come here for their treatment.

The Governor said that during past few years, medical science had advanced ahead through intensive research and technology but on the other side number of patient’s was increasing manifold and we should think over it.

Director, PGIMER Prof. Jagat Ram said such conferences provide a suitable forum to discuss the future directions in the field of surgical Gastroenterology. He also informed about the robotic techniques being introduced in various surgeries.

President of the Association Dr. Piyush Shani welcomed the Governor.

Organizing Secretary Dr. Rajesh Gupta proposed vote of thanks.
