The Heartfulness Education Trust (HET) touches yet another milestone by signing two MoUs in one day with All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) today at AIIA premises in New Delhi. The MoU signing ceremony also coincided with the 6th Foundation year of AIIA. One MoU is intended at holistic wellness and Ayurveda while the second MoU is around salt research.

Both the MoUs are intended to share information, knowledge and resources between the two entities for the benefit of mankind. The Chief Guest to the MoU signing ceremony was Hon’ble Union Minister of AYUSH – Sarbananda Sonowal ji. The other key dignitaries were Hon’ble MoS of Ayush –  Mahendrabhai Munjapara  ji, Hon’ble MOS (M/o HoUA) – Kaushal Kishore ji, Devender Triguna ji – Padma Bhushan Vaidya; Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha ji – Secretary Ayush; BK Singh – Joint secretary Ayush; Jaideep Mishra AS and FA; and Tanuja Nesari Director AIIA in the Divine Presence of Rev. Daaji – Spiritual Guide of Heartfulness, President of Ram Chandra mission and Padma Bhushan Awardee. The HET was represented by Dr. Nivedita Shreyans – Director Youth Programs and V Srinivasan – Regional Facilitator, Delhi on behalf of Heartfulness Institute for signing of MoU on research on ayurveda and holistic wellness. Commodore Kamlesh Kumar –  Chairman and Managing Director, Hindustan Salts Limited, A Central Govt PSU., and Ekta Bouderlique represented Heartfulness Institute were present for signing the MoU on salt research.

Under the first MoU signed between AIIA and Heartfulness Education Trust (HET), the programs collectively called HET Courses and programs under the umbrella of “Heartful Campus” developed by HET, will now be offered to all AIIA approved and affiliated colleges/institutes/universities as a) elective credit-based courses and/or modules; b) foundational open elective courses or as part of induction program for the undergraduate and post graduate students for holistic development of students; c) internship opportunities to students; d) research fellowships; e) Establishment of Heartfulness Centres for offering well-being tools and techniques; and f) training program to faculty members and  senior leaders, counsellors and staff.

The second MoU signed involves salt research. AIIA’s Sambhar salt is the only salt in the world having a pH value naturally in the range of 9.00 to 10.00 and natural iodine content. It is ‘anti-acidic’ with tremendous therapeutic value, offers great neurological benefits, is good for cardiovascular health, helps in building immunity, regulating acidity, losing weight, improving metabolism and aiding digestion. The MoU between HET and AIIA on salt research will enable both the entities to experiment, conduct trial and validate these benefits, publish reports of Ayurvedic importance of the salts in reputed Journals, will recommend these salts to in day-to-day cooking for users/patients.  This salt is set to receive AYUSH certification as well.

The MoU signing ceremony also witnessed the release of scientific publication on Covid Diaries and other publications; the recognition of milestones achieved by AIIA such as AIIA awarded with highest A++ accreditation rating (obtained 3.75 CGA) by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC); launching of Research labs; Skill Labs Dakshya (Centre of Excellence), Hindi website, Molecular Biology lab with Manuscriptology research lab; inauguration of main Auditorium of AIIA, New Delhi which will be named Padma Vibhushan Vaidya Brihaspati Dev Triguna ji along with the unveiling of his statue.

Speaking on the occasion, Hon’ble Union Minister of AYUSH, Sarbananda Sonowal ji said, “Our ancient wisdom and sciences are now scientifically backed and even the western world is adopting them. Ayurveda is just one aspect of it. There is ample research happening in Ayurveda strengthening its validity. Heartfulness Education Trust’s contribution in this direction in association with AIIA is commendable and we hope they will bring about a revolution in ayurvedic medicine. The one example is the salt from AIIA which is likely to bring a sea-change in consumption of salt and reaping the health benefits..”

Rev. Daaji – Spiritual Guide of Heartfulness, President of Ram Chandra mission and Padma Bhushan Awardee said, “I am very delighted with this partnership between HET and AIIA as it will involve mutual knowledge transfer and sharing of resources to achieve further development in ayurveda.  The aim of the human life is to reach the highest level of consciousness which is achievable through a healthy body and mind. Physical health is therefore essential before reaching integrated holistic wellness – of the body, mind and soul. We hope this association will open doors for all to achieve this.”
