Speaking about the initiative, Dr Vijay Anand Reddy, Founder, CURE Foundation & Director, Apollo Cancer Institute, Hyderabad, said, Women are gifts of God and deserve the best love and care. Most of the Cancers in women are curable. Most importantly they give us early warning signs and symptoms, so that they can be diagnosed early and are treated effectively. It is not possible for an individual alone to help and the community or group of people coming forward can make this possible.
Here the celebs are the brand ambassadors for the cause and can spread the awareness. CURE foundation supports under privileged people to get state of the treatment at Apollo Cancer Hospital. Cancer Crusaders Invitation Cup is being hosted for the last 12 years to create Cancer awareness and raise funds to support the initiatives of CURE foundation, especially women and children.
Actress Pragya Jaiswal speaking on the occasion said, it’s beautiful theme event for a cause, full of fun, fashion and glamour, but deep down it’s a thoughtful event to spread awareness about cancer, prevention of the disease and the idea that Cancer can be cured, no more do we need to dread the disease. I wish Dr Vijay Anand Reddy keeps doing the good work for the noble cause and helping children and adults to afford the treatment and confidently overcome cancer.
Dr Vijay Karan Reddy said, mine is the toughest job in the world, first to be an oncologist and adding to that being Dr Vijay Anand Reddy’s son. Cure foundation has been a part of my all my adult life for two decades and for me and my brother we have a huge family in the form of Cure Foundation, growing year on year. The kind of emotion he shows to the patients is very similar to what he shows us.
