A three-day international health conclave focusing on cancer care in the post Covid-19 world will be organised through a virtual meet from March 19-21, 2021 by the Paras Cancer Centres, Gurugram, Patna, and Panchkula of Paras Hospitals. The Paras Cancer Conclave 2021 will focus on the theme of ‘Redefining the Cancer Care for the Next Decade’.
Over 7000 delegates, including oncologists and primary care physicians of all disciplines, from various reputed national and international institutions in USA, Europe, Nepal, Bangla Desh, UAE, Russia, Kenya, Nigeria will participate in the virtual event. There will be 40 hours of sessions spread over three days where expert Oncologists and Cancer Care specialists will deliver lectures on a series of topics.
This health conclave has been designed to showcase the current, emerging and controversial aspects of management in Oncology covering all solid tumours, haematological malignancies for both adults and paediatric age groups including the bone marrow transplantation for the practising oncologists, gynaecologists, PG Students, primary care physicians of all disciplines across the country.
The cancer care burden in the post Covid-19 world had increased manifold. As per a report published in the Asia Pacific Journal of Oncology Nursing by December 2020 an estimated 1 Lakh cancer cases per month may have gone undiagnosed owing to lockdown. A dedicated session on the new challenges thrown by the Covid-19 pandemic will be the highlight of the event where seasoned Oncologists will share their ideas on the way forward.
The International virtual meet will be headed by Dr (Col) R Ranga Rao, Chairman, Paras Cancer Centre, Paras Hospitals and Dr Dharminder Nagar, MD, Paras Healthcare. Dr GK Rath, Director National Cancer Institute, Jhajjar, and IRCH, AIIMS and Dr C S Pramesh, Director Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai will deliver keynote addresses on the cancer scenario in India.
