Noida, April 04, 2022:
In an effort to encourage people to develop a habit for exercising and staying healthy, Jaypee Hospital, a Multi Super Specialty Tertiary Care Hospital at Sector 128 Noida, organized the 6th “Noida Grand Marathon” today in collaboration with Piku Sports. The grand marathon was of 21 km. The event aimed at encouraging citizens to follow healthy living lifestyle.
The event was participated by more than 1000 people from Noida and adjoining areas. Some of the participants were from major corporates, Senior citizens groups, NGO’s and other organizations. Students too actively participated in the grand marathon. The marathon started at 5 am in the morning.
Motivating the runners, Dr. Anil Kumar, COO, Jaypee Hospital said, “We often tend to ignore our health in our daily hustle and bustle. Having a healthy lifestyle and following a regular exercise regime is what the need of the hour. Keeping this in mind, we decided to be a part of such a grand marathon and a noble cause to spread awareness among people highlighting the importance of healthy lifestyle. This year, the thought process takes the event beyond, from being just a sport-related event, we want it to be a community activity and encourage people to run and adopt a healthy lifestyle.”
“We are glad to see this event growing from 1st to 6th edition today with huge participation from people of different age groups. It is the need of the hour to bring awareness about good health and exercise. Following our vision of promoting healthy lifestyle, we aim to organize more of such events for people at large in future,” Dr. Kumaoni added.
Mr. M A Subramanian, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (Tamil Nadu) graced the event as an Honourable Chief Guest and a participant for half marathon. Prizes were distributed to the winners. Jaypee Hospital was the venue partner and provided the medical support, discount coupons, ambulance services to all the participants and also distributed prizes and trophies to the winners in collaboration with Piku Sports.
