Apollo Proton Cancer Centre, Chennai receives accreditation from the Joint Commission International (JCI), the country’s first dedicated advanced cancer centre to receive this international accreditation and the eighth hospital in the Group to join the portfolio of JCI accredited hospitals. Over 200 patients successfully treated so far, a large portion of them coming from US, UK, Singapore and Australia.

SAP business reported 21 % growth in Revenues in Q1FY21; EBITDA (Pre IND AS 116) grew by 37 %, EBITDA margins at 6.3 % in Q1FY21 EBITDA (Post IND AS 116) grew by 29 %.
Q1FY21 Standalone Revenues degrew by 12 % to Rs.19,615 million compared to Rs.22,292 million in Q1FY20. Hospital services degrew by 42%. Pharmacy business grew by 21 % to Rs. 12,791 million as against Rs. 10,568 million in Q1FY20.
Healthcare services degrew by 42%. Mature hospitals degrew 47% and new hospitals degrew 30%. EBITDA (Pre Ind AS 116) was at loss of Rs (184) million in Q1FY21 as against Rs.2,742 million in Q1FY20. PAT loss of Rs. (1,491) million in Q1FY21.

For India, a majority of these deaths would occur in the 31-50 age group.
To meet this challenge, we have now readied ourselves with fortified artificial intelligence, using data from the 20 million preventive health checks we have done so far, to provide a personalized health check called ProHealth, which will detect NCDs in time for lives to be saved. For Diabetes, we have put in place a comprehensive condition management program throughout the country. For Heart, we are the only player to have completed over 1,90,000 heart surgeries and the highest number of Minimally Invasive and robotic surgeries. We are proficient in every aspect of cardiac interventions including robotic angioplasties and TAVI. We have given the highest priority to cancer, covering the spectrum from early detection to cure. We have a strong team of expert clinicians in our 14 dedicated cancer hospitals, as well as the best technology to back them, including the state-of-the-art Proton Therapy with Pencil Beam technology. This will give us a significant advantage over the rest of the world to save a large number of people, and provide relief to their families and to the country. Most importantly, it will help India save a large part of the estimated USD 4.8 Trillion that NCDs are expected to cost this decade.
We continued to focus on technology with the Apollo 24/7 app creating a trusted and curated network of doctors for the highest quality virtual consultation experience in India. Over 3500 Apollo Consultants and Partner doctors are on board. We continue to get thousands of calls and enquiries over the app. This use of technology allows us to remain a beacon of hope for those who need care, especially for their regular ailments, which can turn life threatening if left unattended. On the pharmacy side, we are building the fastest medicine delivery platform leveraging the existing formidable pharmacy chain presence across the country.
