Aster Medcity hosted a special gathering for mothers and babies as part of the World Breastfeeding Week. The event was inaugurated by the actress and content creator Malavika Krishnadas.
World Breastfeeding Week is observed globally from August 1st to 7th each year to promote awareness about the vital importance of breastfeeding for infants. Around 50 mothers and their babies participated in the event, which included informative sessions highlighting the significance of breastfeeding.
As part of the event, there was a reel competition for mothers. There were also poster and quiz competitions for hospital staff, and the winners’ received prizes.
Aster Medcity Chief of Medical Services Dr. Dilip Paniker, Capt. R. Thangam, Chief of Nursing, Aster DM Healthcare, Dr. Jeeson C Unni, Senior Consultant – Paediatrics, Dr. Jose Paul, and Dr. Rajsree S, Senior Consultants – Neonatology, Dr. Joice Francis, Associate Consultant – Neonatology, Dr. Sherly Mathen and Dr. S. Mayadevi Kurup, Senior Consultants – Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Minimally Invasive & Robotic Gynaecology participated in the event.
