Aurobindo Pharma Foundation lends Support to L V Prasad Eye Institutes’ (LVPEI)

Aurobindo Pharma Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Aurobindo Pharma Ltd has committed to support the development of an outpatient facility at L V Prasad Eye Institute’s (LVPEI) upcoming secondary eye care centre in Patancheru Mandal of Sangareddy district, Telangana.

M. Madan Mohan Reddy, Director, Aurobindo Pharma Limited handed over the cheque to Dr Prashant Garg, Executive Chairman – LVPEI and Dr Gullapalli N Rao, Founder Chair – LVPEI in the presence of Mr. S. Sadananda Reddy, CSR-Head – Aurobindo Pharma Foundation, and Mr. Rajashekar, Network Associate Director – New Projects, LVPEI.

On this occasion, K. Nityananda Reddy, Vice Chairman & Managing Director – Aurobindo Pharma Ltd and Director-Aurobindo Pharma Foundation said, “I am delighted that Aurobindo Pharma Foundation & LVPEI are extending and expanding our partnership for a wider and greater impact in prevention of blindness and sight loss.”

The outpatient facility will be part of a new 20,000 sft. secondary eye care centre coming up on a one-acre campus in Rudraram village of Patancheru Mandal, Sangareddy district. It will be part of the 300+ strong LVPEI eye care network. The centre fitted with the latest equipment and staffed by LVPEI’s eye care professionals aims to eliminate avoidable blindness in the region, reconciling excellence with equity. It will bring LVPEI’s high-quality affordable eye care to the region.

Dr Gullapalli N. Rao, Founder Chair, LVPEI expressing his appreciation, said “I thank K. Nityananda Reddy for his generosity and keenness to partner with LVPEI in our quest to reconcile excellence with equity, to eliminate avoidable blindness.”
