CEDP Skill Institute organise industrial visit to diagnostic center

Mumbai, October 03, 2018:

CEDP Skill Institute recently organized an industrial visit for the DMLT Students (Diploma in Medical Lab technology) to Care Diagnostix center in Thane West, to provide students an insight regarding the internal working of diagnostic services. The visit was initiated in an effort to give the students valuable practical experience and skills to handle various equipment’s available in the center.

This visit enlightened the students with the various aspect of laboratory service and gave an insight of how diagnostic services work and what are the challenges an individual come across while running a diagnostic center. Ms. Pooja Talekar (Assistant Quality Manager) of the Institute guided the students through the industrial realities and career opportunities that are opened to the students.

Mrs. Shaheen Khan Director of CEDP Skill Institute Mumbai said that “The gulf between theoretical knowledge and its application is one of the largest in the sphere of professional education. Thus, industry visits are an integral facet of CEDP’s pedagogy. Industry excursions enable the students to gain a better understanding of theories and gain practical exposure in real time. They also provide an insight on how corporates work and also useful information related to the practical aspects of the programs which cannot be visualized in lectures.”

Industrial visit is considered as one main activities of CEDP, The main reason behind this; it lets our student to know things practically through interaction, working methods and employment practices. Moreover, it gives exposure from academic point of view. Our main endeavour is to provide an exposure to students about the practical working environment. The students of CEDP Skill Institute were very delighted by this experience

The students and their faculties had a light hearted conversation with the available team over there and the respective examinations team. As a part of the curriculum, the students of CEDP visit hospitals and healthcare centres and participate in Health Camps for better practical exposure.
