For many families, epilepsy is a daily reality rather than merely a medical word. A child who abruptly stops talking during class.

An adult who worries about having a seizure at work. A parent who is always concerned about what will happen next. Although epilepsy causes worry and mental strain, it’s crucial to keep in mind that it’s a neurological disorder that can be treated, and medical research is progressing quickly, giving sufferers and their families new hope.
