The Coronavirus disease and the lockdown has had a negative impact both physically and emotionally. The disease has spread rapidly forcing governments to initiate lockdowns. Though this has contained the disease to some extent, the lockdown has significantly impacted the mental health of people. Much of the population is grappling with issues like fear of losing their jobs, social distancing, being forced to stay indoors among others. In such circumstances it becomes important to take medical help.

Hariom Welfare Society (Regd) NGO organized a webinar on 24-10-2020 on the topic “SeekMed “Presents Webinar on Coping with Physical and Mental Health in Post Covid Era” The program was telecast live on YouTube and Facebook. Leading doctors and healthcare professionals addressed the issues being faced by people. Apart from answering the queries of the participants, the Webinar also created awareness among the people about how to take care of their mental health and heart, importance of a healthy diet and precautions to be taken.

The Webinar was addressed by Dr TS Kler, Padma Bhushan Awardee, Chairman PSRI Heart Institute, Dr Rajat Jhamb, Professor of Medicine , UCMS, Vaidya Sanjeev Sarna (Ayurvedic healer), Vipin kharbanda, Vice President  Divya Himachal Media Group.

Dr TS Kler said, ” that Government should give health & education to all the people in India. There should be mandatory insurance for everyone. Those who are suffering from B.P, Heart Disease, diabetes, who have undergone bypass surgery. angioplasty are, more prone to covid – 19 infection.”

Dr Rajat Jhamb

Dr Rajat Jhamb said, “that COVID 19 Pandemic is the challenge to the behaviour change. He said never before have we wanted to change the behaviour in such a large scale and short time. We should prioritize behavioural changes.”

Vaidya Sarna said , “that Ayurveda is not a medicine, it promotes human happiness, peace and harmony living. With Technology human have gone away from nature. Nature and human body have forgotten to live with each other.”

Vipin Kharbanda emphasised to follow strict rules as using Masks, social distancing and Hand hygiene. He said, “self awareness  is the only way to avoid cluster”

The webinar was moderated successfully by G S Bawa, Moderator. He Said, “ session was full of technical discussions and the audience is wide spread , we had to do justice with the subject” The webinar ended with the vote of thanks by G S Bawa.
