Noida, September 6, 2017: Jaypee Hospital, a multi super-specialty hospital in Sector 128, Noida is celebrating this September as a ‘Healthy Heart Month’ to mark the ‘World Heart Day’ observed on 29th September every year across the globe. Under this initiative, Jaypee Hospital has organized a month long campaign by hosting a series of events every week for the residents of Delhi NCR.  The objective of this campaign is to spread awareness around the significance of heart health and highlight different heart problems, risk factors and prevention methods.

For this, Jaypee Hospital organized a Free Heart Checkup Camp on 3rd September at the hospital. During this day, Services such as Cardiac Consultation, Diet Consultation, ECG, ECHO, Blood pressure, Blood Sugar checkup and ECHO Screening were also provided to patients free of cost.

On this occasion- ‘Special Angiography Package’ has been announced for this month –@Rs 9999-. Jaypee Hospital is also offering 20% discount on ‘Cardiac Health Check Package’ during September,2017.The aim of Jaypee Hospital is to reach maximum people and spread important information about ‘Heart- related diseases’ through this package so that people get well aware of the causes and treatments of various cardiac ailments at the right time. This will help people in availing these services at nominal rates and will help in reducing the death rate due to heart diseases.

Commenting on this initiative, Dr. Manoj Luthra, CEO and Director of Cardiology Department, Jaypee Hospital said, “In India, out of the estimated population of 1.32 billion about 45 million people suffer from cardiac diseases. Men living in cities are three times more prone to heart attacks than people living in villages due to their sedentary lifestyle. If the current trend continues, by the year 2020, the burden of cardiovascular diseases in India will surpass that of any other country in the world. Hence, raising awareness about the risk-factors related to heart diseases and encouraging people to adopt healthy lifestyle is the need of the hour. Through this initiative, we aim to spread awareness amongst the masses for their heart health.”

On 10th September, Jaypee Hospital will also conduct a health talk ‘Expert Opinion’ wherein the heart specialists will share important information regarding ‘how to bringing positive changes in lifestyle to ensure a Healthy Heart’. Doctors will also enlighten the listeners about various types of heart disease symptoms, behavioral risk factors involved that contribute to fatal cardiac diseases, impact of air pollution on heart health and measures to prevent such risks.
