Manipal Hospital Baner launches a clinic to offer treatment to athletes with sports injuries

In an effort to offer specialized treatment for sports-related injuries, Manipal Hospital, Baner, has introduced a specialized sports injury clinic on Thursday. Mr. Mandar Dalvi, an ex-Ranji player from Maharashtra and the Head Coach of the Maharashtra Ladies Team with a BCCI Level 3 Coaching certification & Mr. Anil Walhekar ex-Ranji player from Maharashtra inaugurated the clinic. With dedicated experts specializing in the treatment of sports-related injuries, the clinic will provide services including sports physiotherapy and sports nutrition, along with advanced treatment options.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Anand Jadhav, HOD and consultant, Orthopaedic, Manipal Hospital, Baner, said, “Athletes, regardless of their skill level or sport, often push their bodies to the limits in pursuit of excellence. This dedication and intensity inevitably increase the risk of sports-related injuries. Therefore, having access to a specialized sports injury clinic is important for athletes. With the launch of this specialized clinic, we aim to provide specialized care and treatment for all orthopedic sports injuries under one roof. With a team of highly experienced orthopedic sports injury experts and our modern infrastructure, we are equipped to manage injuries among athletes across all age groups.”

Shri Naik was the Chief Guest at a three day International Homoeopathic Conference organized by Karnataka Qualified Homoeopathic Doctor’s Association (KQHDA) in Bengaluru from 8-10 September, 2017. We are inculcating research aptitude in students through specially designed schemes of scholarship in addition to capacity building of homoeopathic colleges”, Shri Shripad Naik saif while addressing the participants yesterday. The AYUSH Minister congratulated all the members of KQHDA for completing 25 years of their untiring and uninterrupted service to the Homoeopathic fraternity. Dr. Praveen Kumar, Vice Chairman of the conference welcomed all the dignitaries and the delegates. Chairman of the conference Prof. Dr B D Patel expressed the need for all the diverse schools of Homoeopathy to work towards common goal, which is ‘to serve humanity’. Complimenting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement of ‘Sab Ka Saath Sab Ka Vikas’, he gave a slogan ‘Sab ka Swasthya, homoeopathy ke saath’. The conference was inaugurated by Shri K R Ramesh Kumar, Minister for Health and Family welfare, Government of Karnataka. The Minister said that the state government will be opening up AYUSH Clinics including homoeopathic centres in as many as 176 taluks. Dr. Rajkumar Manchanda, Director General, Central Council of Research in Homoeopathy inaugurated the scientific session. Many great contributors to the field of Homoeopathy were awarded in the conference. Dr. Rameshwar Rao aru was specially awarded in the category.
