Under the guidance of Pujya Swami Ramdev Ji Maharaj and under the leadership of Acharya Balkrishna Ji Maharaj along with the tireless efforts of about 150 scientists of Patanjali Research Institute, a comprehensive plan has been prepared to solve the problems related to Indian farmers and agriculture, which is presented in the form of a book entitled –‘Nav Harit Kranti-An Agro Vision’

Today, an online and offline round table discussion was organized under the leadership of Pujya Acharya ji Maharaj, in which through this wonderful compilation, the future plans for solving the basic problems related to agriculture, simplifying agriculture and increasing the income of farmers was considered.

In the program, Pujya Swamiji Maharaj said that the Patanjali has future plans to uplift farmer’s status. Beginning from organic farming training to organic fertilizers, high quality seeds and minimum priced fertilizers will be made accessible to the farmers. Now even in the technical field, Patanjali has developed technological interventions in form of apps to help the farmers, for geo-mapping of land, geo-fencing and weather forecast so that basic essential information will be made easily assessable to all farmers.

In the discussion, Pujya Acharya Ji Maharaj said that Patanjali has worked to diminish the gap between farmers and Government. If ‘NavHarit-Kranti An Agro-Vision’ is implemented on grounds then it will definitely benefit the farmers. Through this agro-vision our honourable Prime Minister’s aim of soil testing, and agriculture digitalization and PM-Kisan Scheme will be implemented to benefit the farmers.

Regarding this visionary document, the different eminent agricultural scientists and people associated with Agricultural background, along with the Vice Chancellors of various Agricultural universities of the country believe that the sooner this vision will take a practical form, the sooner the farmer of the country will be on the path of prosperity.

Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra, Secretary, Director General of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research participated in the seminar online as a special guest. Appreciating the efforts of Patanjali, he said that Patanjali is initiating a new revolution in the field of agriculture. Patanjali has a strong infrastructure, a strong team of agricultural scientists and the passion to do something for the farmers. Patanjali’s future plans in the field of agriculture are commendable.

Honourable member of NITI Aayog Prof. Ramesh Chand said that NITI Aayog has not done as much work in one year as done through this book. It is not just a book but a complete encyclopaedia. It includes the present status of agriculture, problems related to it, their technical solution etc. Patanjali has created an infrastructure to solve all the problems related to agriculture.

It is not a prospect seeker but a possibility-creating document. He assured for the same, he will ask all the ministries to use this application in the Department of Land Records and Department of Agriculture. He said that the upcoming revolution in agriculture would be through non-agriculture science in which technology would contribute immensely. Patanjali is moving in this direction at the present time.

Dr. Tej Pratap, Vice Chancellor of G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar said that it was a request to Acharya ji that a discussion should be held with the agricultural experts on this unique work so that future plans can be worked out.

Agriculture policy expert Shri Devinder Sharma said that you have given us immense guidance. Your documentation is very comprehensive and important. He drew the attention of the gathering to increase the income of the farmer and burning issues related to agriculture. He said that Patanjali has given an alternative to the country. Patanjali laid emphasis on organic agriculture. Today the whole world is in favour of organic agriculture. Someone has to lead to improve the condition of the farmers and Patanjali is capable in this.

In the program, on behalf of Patanjali,Mr. Kavinder Singh gave a presentation on B-Agromni. Dr. Vedpriya Arya laid the entire background of New-Revolution: An Agro Vision among the dignitaries present.

Dr. H.C. Sharma, former Vice Chancellor of International Crop Research Institute for Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT); Dr. P.K. Joshi, agricultural economist and former chief of the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI); Dr. C.L. Acharya, former Director of Indian Institute of Soil Science (IISS) and a Natural Resource Management Specialist (NRM Expert), Dr. Suresh Paul, Director of NIAEP;Dr. Jai Kumar, Vice Chancellor of Graphic Era Hill University; Dr. G.V. Ramanujanyulu, Director of Centre for Sustainable Agriculture; Dr. T.N. Prakash Kammardi, former Chairman of Karnataka Agriculture Price Commission; Mr. Vijay Pratap Singh Aditya, Chief Executive Officer of Ek Gaon., etc.also presented their views.
