It will be a multi-specialty unit where, apart from common ailments, patients with serious illnesses, such as heart diseases, will be provided medical care. Additionally, the medical unit is equipped with cancer screening facilities. The unit will also have specialists for gastro, orthopaedics, critical care and cardiology amongst others. Additionally, Emergency services will be available round the clock and a full -time pharmacy is set up inside the ‘Aarogya Mandir’, providing free medicines as prescribed by the doctors. We are also organizing for free physiotheraphy for our devotees.
This medical unit will be run by Mr Rajesh Atre, Executive Director, Nayati Charitable Trust and his team.
Niira Radia, Chairperson, Nayati Healthcare, said, “I am grateful for the blessings of the Lord Badri Vishal and Swami Karshni Guru Sharnanand Ji Maharaj under whose direction we have set up the unit. Nayati stands for health and humanity, which is ingrained in all our teams. Serving in the Kumbh is, indeed, a blessing for all of us. Our aim has been to serve the people by providing them with world-class healthcare services, which we started at Badrinath Dham in 2012. In addition to the hospitals in Mathura and Agra, we are continuously striving to deliver the best healthcare to the people through our outreach programs in other parts of Western Uttar Pradesh. Soon, we will have a tertiary care hospital and run medical outreach program for the communities residing in Eastern Uttar Pradesh.”
In sync with the State Government’s decision of making Uttar Pradesh a tobacco-free state, Nayati Healthcare is collaborating with Tata Memorial Hospital, Biocon and the UP Government in ultimately transforming the Kumbh Mela into a tobacco-free zone.
Consequently, an oral cancer centre has been set up at the Nayati Aarogya Mandir – a 40-bed free medical camp in the Kumbh area – with advanced equipment for accurately screening and detecting lesions that indicate potential oral cancer. Nayati’s medical teams are also informing devotees about the serious health hazards of tobacco. Persons screening positive will then be referred to Kamala Nehru Memorial Hospital – the best regional cancer in Prayagraj. The patients with complicated cases are being referred to Nayati Medicity, Mathura. Nayati Centre for Oncology is a part of National Cancer Grid under Tata Trust.
