Bangalore / New Delhi , October 08, 2021:
The founding CEO and a director of White Swan Foundation, the leading mental health non-profit, today announced the launch of a start-up in the mental healthcare space. Under the name WhiteSwan, the start-up will offer a range of mental healthcare products and services to companies that are looking to redefine their employee mental wellness program.
WhiteSwan is being set up as a start-up with the strong foundation that the non-profit White Swan Foundation has built over the last eight years. White Swan Foundation, well known for its ability to deliver knowledge services for mental health and wellbeing, has developed India’s largest knowledge repository on mental health, which is accessed by close to a million people every year. White Swan Foundation has also touched millions of lives through its community outreach programs and unique mental health awareness campaigns.
The founders of WhiteSwan plan to put their rich learning of serving different communities over the last eight years, including workplaces, to design and curate products that enable organizations to put in place a robust and future-proof employee mental wellness program.
“The pandemic, and the drastic and sudden changes that it brought in our work life, has put greater focus on mental wellness. Organizations are increasingly looking beyond offering access to curative services to their employees. Mental Wellness Programs at workplaces must address the unique needs of every single employee on matters of emotional wellness,” said WhiteSwan co-founder and Managing Director Manoj Chandran, adding, “WhiteSwan has been set up with a mission to facilitate organizations to develop a robust employee mental health program that not only addresses the challenges of those who are experiencing emotional health issues but also enables others to play their role in making the workplace psychologically safe.”
“WhiteSwan will immediately begin to offer a range of knowledge-led services for various stakeholders at workplaces. Through curated training programs, assimilation sessions, internal communications and access to knowledge pool, WhiteSwan will enable these stakeholders to create an inclusive and supportive social environment for those with emotional health issues,” said WhiteSwan co-founder and CEO Mohan Sitharam, adding, “For the employees of our client organizations, we will soon roll out our professional services that will not just address the needs of those experiencing emotional health issues but also be an enabling platform for other employees who want to start their journey in the emotional wellness space.”
