Case Study : Knee replacement surgery on both knees

Mrs. Sangeeta Trehan, 68 years old was suffering from Rheumatoid Arthritis for last 14 years, severe disability and deformities of multiple joints; primarily Knee joints in both sides. She was unable to walk and could not even carry her day to day activities for the last 6 months. She then had a bone stress fracture(leg bone) in her right leg (this is caused by long standing deformities and osteoporosis) This was a challenging Case because of the combination of three factors- arthritis, osteoporosis and stress fracture. The patient was offered Knee replacement surgery on both knees with advanced techniques and special implants. The patient has shown tremendous recovery and has resumed her day to day activities like before.
