Case Study : Knee replacement surgery on both knees

New Delhi, Octobern 12, 2018 :

Mrs. Sangeeta Trehan, 68 years old was suffering from Rheumatoid Arthritis for last 14 years, severe disability and deformities of multiple joints; primarily Knee joints in both sides. She was unable to walk and could not even carry her day to day activities for the last 6 months. She then had a bone stress fracture(leg bone) in her right leg (this is caused by long standing deformities and osteoporosis) This was a challenging Case because of the combination of three factors- arthritis, osteoporosis and stress fracture. The patient was offered Knee replacement surgery on both knees with advanced techniques and special implants. The patient has shown tremendous recovery and has resumed her day to day activities like before.

Patient said “For the last 14 years I was suffering from arthritis. I could not stand properly and with time my conditioned worsened. For the last 6 months I was completely on bed and had lost all hopes of walking again. Look at me know, I walk to the temple daily and can do all activities that was a dream for me 06 months ago. I have resumed my normal life again after 14 long years.”
