Chief Minister, Himachal Pradesh thanks people of Jubbal, Nawar and Kotkhai area for contribution towards HP SDMA COVID-19 SDRF

Chandigarh, July 08, 2020 :

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has thanked the people of Jubbal, Nawar and Kotkhai Vidhan Sabha area for generously contributing towards ‘HP SDMA COVID-19 State Disaster Response Fund’. He was addressing a delegation of the constituency after receiving a cheque of Rs. 76 lakh towards this Fund, here today.

Chief Minister said that this contribution would go a long way in mitigating the sufferings of the needy during this time of distress. He said that the people of the area have also prepared and distributed over 40 thousand face masks and 10 thousand sanitizers which shows their generosity towards the humanity.

Jai Ram Thakur said that apple season was round the corner and the State Government has made adequate arrangements to ensure that the farmers do not face any inconvenience in marketing their produce in wake of COVID-19 pandemic. He said that the farmers were expecting better prices of apple this year as imported apple could not be available in the market. He said that government had taken up the issue of ensuring labour to the apple belts of the State at various levels.

Chief Minister said that people of the area were fortunate to have a leader like Narender Bragta to take up the issues of the area emphatically before the government.

Chief Whip and MLA from Jubbal-Kotkhai Assembly Constituency Narender Bragta thanked the Chief Minister for being considerate towards the developmental needs of the area and giving necessary directions to concerned authorities for making foolproof arrangements for smooth transportation and marketing of apple. He said that people of the area have downloaded over 15 thousand Arogya Setu App and also distributed over eight thousand food kits to the needy.

Vice Chairman State Civil Supplies Corporation Baldev Tomar and office bearers of BJP Mandal of Jubbal Kotkhai were present on the occasion.
