Shri Sopan Joshi in “Effective Change – Sustainable Results” Lecture Series at AIGGPA

Bhopal,November 25, 2019:

The work of cleanliness in cities should be with love, not with hatred. Officers and employees should work in such a way that on retirement not only pension, but also the virtue of good works should be with them. Senior author Mr. Sopan Joshi spoke at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Good Governance and Policy Analysis (AIGGPA) while expressing his thoughts on “the future of our cities sinking” in the “Effective Change – Sustainable Results”.

Where there is no greenery, there is more violence

Shri Joshi said that officers should not try to be special. He said that research has found that where there is no greenery, there is more violence. He said that cities should not be allowed to become bird houses. Shri Joshi said that solutions to serious problems never come out of facilities. They will be solved through dilemma only. Keep a direct connection with water and land. He told that earlier villages were built on the basis of water only. Mr. Joshi said that there is no value of land without water. He gave information through various methods of treatment of dirty water through examples. Shri Joshi also addressed the doubts of the Chief Municipal Officers trained in the institute.

A clear policy for urban development

Director General Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Good Governance and Policy Analysis Shri R. Parashuram said that a clear policy for urban development should be made. He said that the “Effective Change – Sustainable Results” series is a medium to share the experiences of notable people. On this occasion, the Principal Advisor of the institute, Mr. M.M. Upadhyay and Mr. Girish Sharma were also present.
