Development of health facilities in state our priority: CM Trivendra

Dehradoon, September 11,2018 :

Representatives of Indian Medical Association and Joint Doctor Federation met the Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat at Secretariat on Monday and apprised him about the problems under the provisions of the Clinical Establishment Act. Chief Minister said that the development of health facilities in the state is our priority, to provide better health facilities to the general public, it should be supported by all medical organizations and practitioners. Chief Minister, while taking cognizance of the problems of physicians, expected that the private doctors, Indian Medical Association and Joint Doctor Federation office bearers should study the Gazette notification in depth and in view of the interest of the state should submit their suggestions to Health Secretary within a week and thereafter the State Government will take necessary action after considering the matter and also considering the procedure adopted in this regard by other state governments. Indian Medical Association also demanded from the Chief Minister that the bylaws of medical buildings should be made practical. Chief Minister directed the Vice President MDDA to take necessary action in this regard.

On this occasion, Chief Secretary Mr. Utpal Kumar Singh, Additional Chief Secretary Mrs. Radha Rauturi, Health Advisor to Chief Minister Dr. Navin Baluni, Secretary Health Nitesh Jha and representatives of the Indian Medical Association and Joint Doctor Federation along with the Health Department officials were present.
