Nutritious food and good quality medical facilities being provided to the elderly in old age home, including covid testing

Under the leadership of CM Arvind Kejriwal, the Delhi government is providing all possible facilities to the elderly living in the old age homes. On Saturday, Cabinet Minister Rajendra Pal Gautam, conducted a surprise inspection of Old Age Home in Bindapur.

Bindapur Old Age Home is run by Delhi Government and has a capacity of 50 residents. Cabinet Minister Rajendra Pal Gautam reviewed all the facilities that are being provided to the senior citizens in old age home including food, healthcare, sanitation etc. He also personally interacted with all the residents of the old age home to know the quality of these facilities and if they are facing any issue.

Rajendra Pal Gautam expressed happiness over the fact that in this old age home, the elderly are well taken care of.

“All senior citizens are being provided nutritious food as well as all kinds of medical facilities. The elderly living in the old age home informed me that they get food, milk, food, fruits on time and all their facilities are being taken care of,” said Rajendra Pal Gautam.

There are a total of 57 Senior Citizens currently living in Bindapur Old Age Home, of which 45 are female and 12 are male. Keeping in mind the rise in Covid Cases in Delhi, all senior citizens were provided with testing facilities within the old age home itself. Out of the 57 residents, 6 were found positive and were treated at Satyavadi Harishchandra Hospital, Narela.

Cabinet Minister Rajendra Pal Gautam ordered the Superintendent of Old Age Home to ensure that no senior citizen in the old age home should face any kind of inconvenience and should be provided with all the facilities including proper healthcare.
