Health Department to make people aware about Hepatitis-B: Vipin Parmar, Health & Family Welfare Minister, Himachal Pradesh

Shimla, July 19,2018 :

The state government is concerned over the reports of symptoms of Hepatitis-B in Spiti sub-division of tribal district of Lahaul-Spiti during the past few years and efforts are being made to make people aware about this disease.

Health Minister Vipin Singh Parmar said here today that the Health Department would organise the World Hepatitis Day in a big way on 28 July, 2018 at IGMC, Shimla to generate mass awareness about Hepatitis-B.

He said the Doctors of IGMC, Shimla after deep studies have prepared a booklet on the symptoms, reasons and treatment of Hepatitis-B. This booklet would go a long way in educating the people about prevention from this noxious disease. He appreciated the efforts of the Doctors of departments of Gastroenterology and Community Medicine, IGMC Shimla for bringing out this useful booklet.
