Health Minister Himachal Pradesh demands State Cancer Institute at Shimla

New Delhi, July 13, 2018 :Health Minister Vipin Singh Parmar met Union Health Minister  J.P. Nadda at New Delhi and requested GoI to sanction State Cancer Institute at Shimla. He also discussed various issues pertaining to Health Ministry.

He also informed him that at present Asha workers were being paid Rs. 1250 per month over and above the norms fixed by centre government.  He requested for funds to the tune of Rs. 9.5 crore from GoI to meet out this expenditure.

Health Minister also requested for release of funds for IGMC Super Specialty Block which is under construction at Shimla.

Vipin Singh Parmar apprised the Union Health Minister that at present contribution from Centre in National Ambulance Service ( 108 ) is upto the extent of 20 percent which should be increased to 90 percent keeping in the view the tough topographical conditions of the hill state.

J.P. Nadda heard all the demands patiently and assured that state’s demands will be fulfilled at the earliest.

B.K. Agarwal Additonal Chief Secretary Health and officers of Union Health Ministry were also present in the meeting.
