New Delhi, October 12, 2021:
Food and Civil Supplies Minister, Shri Imran Hussain, today inaugurated a Model COVID Vaccination Center at Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Quresh Nagar, Idgah Road, Ballimaran Assembly Constituency. Senior officers and staff members of Health Department, Delhi State Health Mission, Education Department and Divisional Commissioner’s Office were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on this occasion, Shri Imran Hussain appreciated the excellent work performed by Teachers, Medical team and Delhi Administration Govt staff who have played vital role in the pandemic times of COVID-19. They have not only worked shoulder to shoulder with the administration but have also done remarkable work in vaccination drive, quarantine centre, distribution of food, , distribution of free ration and compliance with the rules of Corona protocol .
The Minister also visited the Model COVID Vaccination Center and assessed the adequate facilities provided to the residents. Shri Imran Hussain also noticed the posters put up at the Model COVID Vaccination Center with the aim of spreading awareness about COVID-19 among the citizens. He said that advanced facilities related to vaccine registration are available at this model COVID -19 vaccination center, resident could visit to this Model vaccination center and register themselves on-spot to get the vaccine and avail the adequate facilities. On this occasion, he appealed to the citizens to follow the Covid-19 protocol in view of the upcoming festivals and be aware of the corona pandemic, which includes wearing masks, maintaining cleanliness, avoiding social interactions and social distancing.
Shri Hussain said that as a result of efforts of Arvind Kejriwal governance, the number of corona cases has been in decreasing trend , but this pandemic has not ended completely, so it is the responsibility of all of us to get the vaccination done to defeat the corona.He added that I am pleased to inform that by virtue of meaningful efforts of Sh. Arvind Kejriwal government more than 1.5 crore corona vaccine doses have been administered in Delhi .
On this occasion, The Minister also interacted with the citizens who had got their vaccine at model vaccination centre, and residents appreciated the efforts and facilities provided by the Delhi Government and expressed confidence that with the efforts of the Delhi Government. Sh. Imran Hussain requested the vaccinated residents to make aware the society about the importance of corona vaccine.
Shri Hussain also appealed to the representatives of RWAs, youth groups, women’s groups, market associations, NGOs and religious organizations to conduct awareness campaigns in the assembly constituency to encourage people towards corona vaccination.
