President and Governor takes a walk along Mall road, Simla

Chandigarh, May 23,2018 :President Shri Ram Nath Kovind and Governor Acharya Devvrat took a walk along the Mall road on Tuesday evening. They also had a walk on the historic Ridge Maidan where the President paid his tributes to the father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi at his statute.

They had tea at Aashiana restaurant where the president made the digital payment. The President also purchased a book at Minerva book house by making digital payment. 

The President interacted with the local people especially children on this occasion.

The Governor briefed the President about history of few buildings and places of Shimla town, the historical Ridge, Mall road besides rich culture and traditions of the State. 

First lady of the country and wife of President Smt. Savita Kovind and other family members also accompanied them on the occasion.
