The Public Health and Family Welfare Department has asked all the operators of X-ray and imaging equipments in the state to register in the AERB portal within 15 days. After registration, they must give the information to the Chief Medical and Health Officer’s office in their district. It is compulsory for all diagnostic X-ray organizations to obtain registration and license in AERB.

Director, Health Services said that unregistered clinical X-ray equipments are being sealed by the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board in the country. Using unregistered clinical X-rays is a punishable offense under the Atomic Energy (Radiation Protection) Rule-2004. Therefore, the operators of all X-ray and imaging devices should register at the portal as soon as possible.

Government and non-government diagnostic X-ray organizations can get free online registration and licenses from the E-Licensing System (e-LORA) launched by AERB.
