Vice President condoles the passing away of Shri Manohar Parrikar

New Delhi, March 17, 2019:

Goa CM Manohar Parekar has  passed away  at the age of 63 after a long battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Nation has lost a very brave , honest, and simple human being.

The Vice President of India, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu has condoled the passing away of the Chief Minister of Goa, Shri Manohar Parrikar. In a message, the Vice President said that Shri Parrikar was one of the most lovable and honest senior politicians of our country. He was a dynamic and dedicated individual who led life full of values and principles, he added.

Following is the text of Vice President’s message:

“Deeply saddened to learn about the untimely passing away of the Chief Minister of Goa, Shri Manohar Parrikar.

He is one of the most lovable and honest senior politicians of our country. He was a dynamic and dedicated individual who led life full of values and principles.

In his passing, the nation in general and Goa in particular lost its proud son. My heartfelt condolences to members of his bereaved family and I pray for his soul rest in peace.”
