All viruses including coronaviruses when replicates, it sometimes changes also, which is normal for a virus and these changes are called “mutations”. In simple terms, a mutation here means a change in the genetic sequence of the viruses.

Globally, people started thinking that COVID–19 pandemic would now end very soon with the commencement of vaccination drive however, novel corona viruses relapsed and mutating into several variants. The situation is critical as on one hand, citizens are strengthening their immune system through access to variety of vaccines and at the other extreme, the number of COVID–19 cases and new hybrid mutant cases are increasing very rapidly because of the irresponsible behavior in public places.
