Sir Ganga Ram Hospital goes Green on Diwali

To help forward the environmental cause , Sir Ganga Ram Hospital has been lit in a green colour on Diwali.

New Delhi, October 18, 2017: According to Dr D S Rana , Chairman (B.O.M ) , Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, ” Our hospital has taken many initiatives in last few months to help the cause of environment and help tackle the pollution in Delhi. For conservation of water through rain water harvesting , the hospital has reduced the need for water tankers from 40 tankers per day to 8-10 tankers . Also the hospital has been made mercury free .”

Dr Rana added , “The hospital has been efficiently managing Bio Medical Waste Management .Use of LED lights and Solar energy is to meet the heating requirement , the hospital has reduced consumption of electricity by 10 %. As a noble gesture , this year all staff and doctors have taken pledge to help in pollution control and also to donate their organs after death . “
