    • A new study published in De Gruyter’s Journal Diagnosis shows that doctors in an emergency department with trainees make similar types of errors to those made in admitted patients – more information processing errors are made than errors of inadequate knowledge or inadequate information.
    • Athletes who play contact sports for long periods may be at greater risk of developing Lewy body disease, reported Thor Stein, MD, PhD, of the Boston University School of Medicine and colleagues in Journal of Neuropathology and Experimental Neurology.
    • Supplemental oxygen significantly reduces morning blood pressure in patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in a study reported July 20 online in the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine. Supplemental oxygen abolished the rise in home blood pressure seen with supplemental room air.
    • Healthy kids with chronically ill siblings may suppress their own needs as they adapt to shifting family dynamics that are focused on caring for the child who is sick, suggests a review in journal Pediatrics.
