Bangalore/New Delhi, June 21, 2026:

In the spirit of integrating health, harmony, and community, the parent-child duos of Greenwood High International School celebrated the International Yoga Day with a special yoga session at its campus that highlighted the importance of health, mindfulness, and family bonding. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 100 parent-child duos who performed various yoga asanas and breathing exercises under the guidance of trained instructors.

The event served as a reminder that wellness is most effective when embraced collectively. While students were enlightened about the significance and advantages of incorporating yoga into their daily routines, many parents expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to connect with their children in a meaningful way.

Highlighting the importance of the event, Niru Agarwal, Managing Trustee, Greenwood High stated, International Yoga Day provides an excellent opportunity to encourage healthy habits among our students and their families. The session aimed to promote physical well-being, mental wellness, and the value of incorporating yoga into daily life. We have been following the practice of Yoga in our school curriculum for the past few years and give it the same importance as any other subject. Not only does it translate into better academic outcomes but also improved holistic growth and development. The practice of controlled breathing also teaches children self-control that stops them from reacting impulsively in emotional situations.”

Through such initiatives, Greenwood High remains committed to nurturing holistic development and promoting healthy living within its school community.
